Heggerty: Phonemic Awareness
Heggerty is an educational company helping young students to read and write by empowering home and professional educators with proven methods and tools to teach these skills.
Since 2020, we’ve collaborated with Heggerty on everything from refreshing their brand identity to designing, developing, and launching a robust e-commerce website and creating a suite of digital curricula to transform their well-known curricula.

In 2019, Heggerty was starting a new digital chapter, and it was important that we reflect this evolution with a brand identity refresh.
It began with updating the logo but became a much more in-depth look at all its brand components, resulting in a comprehensive retake of its logo, color palette, fonts, graphics, and more.
Illustration
Photoshoots were off the table in 2019. To avoid stock photography, we brought on friend and ultra-talented illustrator Eugenia Mello to create a hardy series of human-centered illustrations that would connect with the Heggerty target audience.
Her illustrations were used across the website and many other brand touchpoints, bringing an imaginative, engaging, and cheerful feel to the entire brand.
Web + Product
Once the identity and visuals were refreshed, it was time to tackle the primary goal of bringing their books online so that teachers could keep teaching in our new digital world.
We tackled the website and learning platform simultaneously, building a comprehensive online version of the Heggerty curriculum, so teachers could continue teaching remotely.
With this new site, teachers could now purchase subscription packages for entire schools, including the digital curriculum, daily lessons, videos, digital assessments, and reporting tools.
