Fusionetics

UI + UX DESIGN

Fusionetics is an online platform that integrates sports science, clinical application, and advanced analytics to deliver solutions focused on decreasing injury, optimizing performance, and enhancing recovery. We partnered with them to design a comprehensive mobile, tablet, and desktop experience of their platform that accommodates a wide variety of users ranging from elite professional athletes to at-home patients undergoing physical therapy.

Practitioner Experience

Practitioners play a necessary role in how Fusionetics technology is applied to the end-user. For  most practitioners, they manage multiple groups comprised of several members, all of which require individual testing and assessment. The practitioner app experience was designed to allow fluid navigation between different groups and patients, with an intuitive testing interface optimized for a mobile format.

Client Experience

The Fusionetics "tracker" app allows clients to perform daily tests and track their progress over time. As a companion to the full web platform, the client-facing mobile app was designed to provide an easy way for clients to execute daily tasks in a setting where a mobile app is most convenient. At the heart application is a user dashboard that visualizes data captured through practitioner and user testing. The dashboard utilizes a series of panels representing individual tests, creating a fluid scrolling experience that allows users to quickly access all of their scores. Bold swaths of color are used to communicate test scores at a glance.

Creating Clarity from Complexity 

 

As the hub for all of the Fusionetics digital products, the web platform manages a massive amount of complex data and information. Finding ways to create clarity and structure from such rich data was a primary objective in forming the user experience. We sought out opportunities to create consistency in the hierarchy of information, interface elements, and reoccurring user flows to minimize the learning curve and create a more intuitive experience. As part of this process, we introduced a new look and feel that uses clean typography, flat colors, and simple, easy to read charts and graphs.

Working with Rubric helped us not only reshape the visual design language of our digital products, but instilled a user-centered approach that made the product experience far more valuable for our customers.
