Overview

As a designer at Rubric, you will collaborate, concept, and execute on projects that include digital design for a variety of industries and clients.

To succeed in this role, you should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote team environment and be able to execute high-impact, intuitive designs from scratch.

We’re looking for someone with experience designing websites, marketing materials, social media graphics, etc.

You will have a passion for staying on top of the latest design and UX trends. The right candidate will be hungry for new challenges and learning, have superior typography skills, understands the importance of UX, and know-how to balance functionality with design.

Responsibilities

  • Create comprehensive designs from scratch

  • Collaborate with a remote team (Slack)

  • Design with client goals, audience, and best practices in mind

  • Take client feedback and deliver strategic solutions

  • Attend occasional client calls to show work / get feedback

  • Prepare and deliver design assets

Essentials

  • 3+ years of design experience

  • A portfolio demonstrating expertise in digital design

  • Deliver designs on time (or early!)

  • Deep understanding of typography

  • Knowledge of the website design and launch process

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to make design decisions/solutions on your own

  • This is a freelance, hourly remote position

  • Hourly rate will be based on skills and experience
